| | | | | | | | Foundation Chairman Alan Peaford joins with the Contact-a-Family group to lobby Health Minister Yvette Cooper. | | | | The Foundation organised its first event outside the UK by running a family day at Dublin. The event was attended by more than 100 people representing families from both the north and the Republic of Ireland. Professor Chris Oliver visited the meeting to outline the latest findings from the Community Fund aided research into challenging behaviour amongst the CdLS population. A number of families travelled to Dublin from England and Scotland, thus reinforcing the Trustees belief in the value of meetings such as these which benefit the families in line with the aims of the Foundation. As a result of the meeting we were able to elect a Trustee to represent Irish interests on the Board and look to extending our support in the country. |
