Could you be eligible for a work grant?

People with a health condition or disability that affects what work they can do may be eligible for an Access to Work grant.

Where the condition or disability is likely to last for 12 months or more, financial help might be given towards a range of support, for example, specialist equipment, adaptation to premises and existing equipment or help with travel to work costs.

Review

The grant applies to full or part-time jobs, permanent or temporary work, or self-employment and is subject to review after three years.

To find out more, contact the Disability Employment Adviser at your local Jobcentre or Jobcentre Plus office or the Disability Services team in your region (for contact details, visit www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk).
