When Lucy Barlow celebrated her 90th birthday she asked friends and family to make donations to two charities rather than buy her presents. The result was that both a charity for the blind and CdLS Foundation received £300 each.

Lucy is great grandmother to Amy Barlow of Antrim, Northern Ireland. Amy flew to Liverpool with her mum and dad to be at the party and stayed up until after midnight, meeting lots of new people.
