Neale's trek takes the high road for CdLS

The Great Outdoors Challenge is a self-supported trek across Scotland, starting on the west coast and finishing on the eastern seaboard.

Neale Lamond completed along with Stephen and Veronica Foley. They started the coast to coast walk at Shielbridge and finished at Muchalls just north of Stonehaven taking 12-days to complete the 202 mile walk which, Neale says, included 5,800 metres of ascent.

The walkers also had to carry all their tents and equipment.

As well as a large personal triumph there was also joy for the CdLS Foundation as the walk raised a donation of £308.

A cheque was presented by Neale to Marion and Kenneth Pirie’s son Christopher in Perthshire.
