Are there other names for the syndrome?

The syndrome is sometimes called Brachmann de Lange Syndrome after a German doctor who described a baby, or "Amsterdam Dwarfism" named by Professor de Lange after her own city. The Foundation prefers to recognise Professor de Lange’s contribution to defining the syndrome and use the name Cornelia de Lange Syndrome.
