The parents and grandparents of Lucy Dickens, from Sittingbourne Kent, held their 12th annual bowls competition and raised £1,218.91.

“This year’s Short Mat Triples Competition was held at Swale Indoor Bowling Centre and once again attracted over 100 competitors from all over Kent,” said Carol Dickens, grandma.

Grandad, Ray, said: “The club made us extremely welcome and very generously agreed the use of their fantastic facilities at no charge.

“In addition, on the day, the club chairman presented a cheque for ￡50 on behalf of the club to the Foundation. As usual, Lucy helped her Mum selling raffle tickets and presented the trophy to the winning team.”
